About
REQA was established in Belfast three decades ago. We are a design-led practice who work across the 4 corners of Ireland and beyond. Our work responds to context. We generate spaces that solve problems for our clients, from bespoke housing works to community hubs.
In the last 30+ years, we have built a wealth of experience in different design typologies. We are specialised in diversification.
REQA opened for trading on January 5th 1987. Robert Edward Quinn took the plunge to start up the company and to this day remains the boss. No doubt about that.
We’ve grown in those 30+ years; moving from Belfast to the historic town of Dromore. This move has allowed us to work on projects throughout Ireland, helping adapt our offering outside of city life.
Our team has evolved in that time too. We’ve developed a company with values on dedicated service, advancing our practice and positively contributing to the places where we work.
At REQA, we believe in maintaining a high standard of design services and invest in computer-aided design technology. We invest time producing a wide range of 2D & 3D renders, and we’re always looking for new ways to visualise concepts for clients.

Capabilities
Our abilities in architectural services are broad and we try to be agile to get involved at any stage of a project. As a standard service we use experience to create concept designs, then add technical knowledge to obtain Planning Permission then Building Control. Further service packages are more hands on if desired were we walk the project from start to finish, carefully ensuring the design becomes reality.
Facilitating the project from inception through to handover. An 'end-to-end' service allows us to provide all design works plus liaison with other consultants / experts, managing contractor procurement, construction phase supervision and project close-out to ensure the delivery meets clients expectations.
Advise on risk management regarding Health & Safety on construction projects. It is a client responsibility to appoint a Principle Designer to undertake various duties in pre-construction phase to understand, manage and mitigate any risks posed during the design and construction phases.
Republic of Ireland Only. Assigned Certifiers appointments ensure that all construction will satisfy Building Control Regulations as required under SI9.
